Biological Science Education - BS
This is a major designed to produce teachers equipped to facilitate student learning in biology. It involves formal training in the field of biology as well as preparation of students as professional educators.
Chemistry Education - BS
Program graduates will have demonstrate a solid conceptual understanding of the structure and reactivity of matter and will firmly grasp the key ideas and practices in analytical, organic and physical chemistry.
Earth & Space Science Education - BS
Students graduating with a B.S. in Earth and Space Science Education will have completed a degree that involves two academic components: 1) formal training in the Earth and space sciences and 2) formal training in education.
Mathematics Education - BS
BYU is the only university in the United States with a Department of Mathematics Education. At many universities, students learn to teach mathematics by taking mathematics classes, education classes and then one or two classes that integrate mathematics and education.
Physics Teaching - BS
The Physics Teaching degree is designed for those who plan to teach physics at the secondary level. It includes courses for teacher certification as well as a substantial array of physics courses designed to provide fundamental understanding of the discipline and perspective on science and its role in the modern world.
Physical Science Education - BS
Students will obtain a broad, basic knowledge of physical sciences. Students will be able to design individual lectures reflecting the curriculum and informed by best practices in pedagogy and technology.
Technology & Engineering Education: Teaching - BS
The primary purpose of the Technology and Engineering Education (TEE) program is to prepare men and women of sound character to teach technology and engineering in grades 6-12.

Students will interpret, analyze, and solve educational problems within the framework of biology using advanced concepts, grounded in the foundational biological, educational, and cognitive theories.
Mathematics Education - MS
Graduates can explain, evaluate, and apply important issues, trends, theories, paradigms of research, and research findings in the field of mathematics education, as well as their implications for the teaching and learning of mathematics in the public schools, mathematics teacher development, and participation in mathematics education scholarship.
Technology and Engineering Education - MS
The technology and engineering education specialization helps students who have graduated in technology and/or engineering teacher education or related areas to be more effective leaders.
