Art Education - BA
The Art Education area is a vibrant and growing part of the Department of Art. It gives students knowledge and experience to both understand and work with children in many contexts, including P-12 schools and has a critical mission within the context of the Aims of a BYU education.
Dance Education - BA
The highly esteemed Dance Education K-12 (BA) program is designed to prepare students for the rigors of the teaching profession. Students receive a teaching license in secondary education and an elementary education endorsement in dance.
Music Education Choral - BM
This is a limited-enrollment program requiring departmental admissions approval. A degree in music education prepares the student for K-12 licensure as a public school music teacher with a choral emphasis.
Music Education General Music - BM
This is a limited-enrollment program requiring departmental admissions approval. A degree in music education prepares the student for K-12 licensure as a public school music teacher with a general music emphasis.
Music Education Instrumental - BM
This is a limited-enrollment program requiring departmental admissions approval. A degree in music education prepares the student for K-12 licensure as a public school music teacher with an instrumental emphasis.
Theatre and Media Arts Education - BA
Due to the number of applicants and demands on department resources, a limited number of students are accepted into the theatre education program each year.
Art Education - Minor
Students who are already majors in other teaching areas may gain a minor in Art Education.
Art Education - MA
The MA in Art Education is a cohort program intended for teachers who desire graduate study in curriculum development and additional content and skills in the disciplines of a comprehensive art program.
